Christine and The Queens @ The Danforth Music Hall

CHRIS Tour - November 5th, 2018

Prior to this event, I had only heard one (1) Christine and The Queens song; Tilted, an upbeat song about not always fitting in. Though this theme is common, Chris' execution was expressive, and unique, leaving me eager to hear more.

Walking into this show, I had no idea what to expect, but not to worry Chris and her crew immediately captured your attention with opener; Dounia (dounia.world)! Dounia was a perfect compliment to Chris' doctrine of self-love, self-expression, and (excuse my language) not giving a fuck what people think.

Chris is a visionary when it comes to performance, leaving the audience in awe from start to finish. Not only were the visuals, vocals, and dancing; mesmerizing, the emotion set out by both Chris and her entourage was unlike anything I had experienced before. Aside from the performance itself Chris' stage presence was captivating, and at times hypnotizing (in a good way, of course).

After an hour and forty-five minute set, I found myself longing for more. It is safe to say, Chris and team really know how to put on a show that will sweep you off your feet. I am now 'eager & unashamed' to pronounce myself a Christine and The Queens fan!
